Collaborative Work

You know, if you were on the Titanic and you found yourself in the ocean all of a sudden, you would probably be looking around for something to cling onto. A piano top would do, it would help keep you afloat.

A better float would of course be a life jacket or a small boat to help you to safety. But in the moment of crisis the link top does just fine.

Well, the use of Zoom and other platforms helped us continue working and collaborating during the pandemic. We needed that, those things helped us: but they were not necessarily the best solution. Rather they were the practical, in the moment, solution.

And so, when I think about collaboration and work and how it is best done – yes there is a time and place for these tools but the best tools most likely are face-to-face presence and deep, personal, collaborative work.
