Maslow’s hierarchy of needs

It’s actually an interesting model for companies and HR teams to view their EVP through.

If you think about Physiological Needs, then Safety, Love & Belonging, Esteem and finally Self Actualisation you can see this is a model to help motivate employees.

Satisfy pay, benefits, a safe working environment and then move onto the more difficult (but more rewarding elements) such as a culture of feedback, a compelling purpose etc.
