Talent Consumption OR Talent Production

I am thinking a lot about management these days, and talent liquidity.

How does talent flow around the organisation. But by bit, I see firms changing and recognising that talent shouldn’t sit and stay in just one team – working for one manager.

But often the managers need to embrace this too. In order to make it work we could reward managers for talent production (sharing or moving a talent elsewhere) and educate when they are talent consumers (hoarding talent for their own personal use).
