– automatic “rules of thumb” used to make quick decisions

– they help us simplify the complex to help us make snap decisions

– they can be useful, or they can cause trouble

We all have them, and use them every day. The key is to be aware of what they are and how they are impacting us. Are you thinking fast, or slow? (Kahneman)
